Airawen Goes to the Zoo

Sunday we went to the Saint Louis Zoo for the first time as a family of three! We wanted to see the new tiger cubs that were born in April, and show Arie Alex my favorite, the penguins! It was a beautiful, warm day and our baby angel loves to be outside. She was pretty tired, so we didn't get any dramatic reactions, but I think she enjoyed seeing so many new things!

We had a baby shower in Forest Park, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we were already dressed up so.... I thought we should do a more formal 6 month photo shoot. The turtle's name is Titus. He lives in our garden. Sorry no captions this time. Just use your imagination. BTW, doesn't Tim take great pictures?

Pick of the Week: The New Fall Daily Tea

Love the new Fall Daily Tea! Of course I won't be buying any of it until it goes on sale, but I still think it is beautiful, and thought I would share some of my favorites.

Johnn and Heidi's Wedding Shower

Last Sunday we threw a wedding shower for Heidi and Johnn, who are getting married in November. Here are some of the cute pix I took and of course, got pictures of everyone except myself. I'm really great at doing that. Arie Alex loved seeing her aunts and uncle and grandma and grandpa. She even has her own room at grandma and grandpa's house!

Arie Alex: 6 Months and Eating

So I've been six months old for a few weeks now, and the biggest part about being 6 months old is that now I get to eat solid food.

I love it!  I've had rice cereal and this week the started feeding me carrots.  I'm getting better at eating off the spoon every day.

Hey, what is this?  A new food?

It is shaped like a star.  I'm going to eat it!

Ahh ma gos!  Wa eh the?  Ih horrible!

This is so disgusting!  I think they are trying to poison me!

Sitting up and Cutting Teeth

Before we get started with this presentation, I really need to go get this tub of A and D ointment.

And I need to check my self out in the mirror...  I have two bottom teeth coming in.   You can just see them poking out...

I love A and D ointment!  It is really good stuff.  It comes in this big tub with a bright orange lid, and I can't get enough of it!

I just love this stuff.  I have to put it in my mouth.

What?  Oh yeah!  I'm here to tell everyone something....

I can sit up!  Isn't that great?  Have a happy Labor Day Weekend!  My mommy and daddy started dating 6 years ago on this weekend.  And now they have a baby who can sit up.  Crazy!
