Halloween

I dress up as some sort of magical flying thing, with lots of glitter, almost every year. I am the only one who dresses up at my work and I go around and pass out candy. Today, I got to walk into a faculty meeting at Covenant Seminary, dressed as a five and a half month, pregnant, sparkly butterfly and give all our professors candy! It totally made my day!

This year, Tim had to work out of town on Halloween, but we got to carve our pumpkin before he left and King and went to visit friends Halloween night. We had dinner at Todd and Leah's and King got hot dog that fell on the ground at Starr's house. (Thanks, Pete!) We sat around the fire with Zach and Hannah and some other friends, and enjoyed our kind of warm, not rainy Halloween. We missed Tim though and are looking forward to next year when Arie Alex will be here to dress up with us!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! WE MISS YOU, TIM!!!

Pick of the Week: Vending Machine Skirt

I heard about this on the radio this morning, and I can't decide if this is brilliant or really stupid, but it was worth showing people for the pure strangeness. (I know that "strangeness" isn't a word) It is a skirt that turns into a vending machine so that you can hide from an attacker. Of course it comes out of Japan, and they also have a "safe" that starts out as a bag or purse, and then turns into a manhole cover/lid. You can ditch your belongings in the middle of the street and come back later to get them, without the average onlooker being aware of what they are passing up. Like I said, brilliant or stupid? You tell me. The link is below to see more pictures and read the article

M-I-Z Z-O-U Homecoming 2007

Last weekend I went to Columbia to catch up with some of my girlfriends from Columbia. We all went to high school and college together, and we have been doing the October reunion thing for three years now. This year we decided to go to Homecoming. Friday night I went to House Decks with Liz, Jon and Charlie. Saturday I went to the parade with my sister and Genese. Bethany and I then got a long over due Booche's burger. Saturday afternoon we watched the game at Liz's house. Where MU stopped Texas Tech 41 to 10. Then we all went to dinner at Flat Branch. I love Homecoming!

Chicago

Tim and I spent a weekend in Chicago a couple weeks ago. It was his brother's 30th birthday. Christine, Brian's wife, invited us all up to Chicago to surprise Brian the weekend of his Birthday. The boys played golf and the girls went shopping. Tyler and Graceanne showed us there Halloween costumes. Jake and Drew stayed back in Red Bud to play football on Saturday, and they were greatly missed! But we got to call them on the OnStar phone in the car. I loved it!

Christine and I got makeovers at a new store that was opening in Osego and then we all had an amazing dinner in the city. Christine me non-achoholic wine so that I could drink with everyone at dinner. She had chocolate bars with our names on cut out maple leaves at the table. She is so fun and thoughtful, and a great evening with the family.

Pick of the Week: Airawen Alexandra 20 Weeks

We went in for our 20 week check up yesterday. Arie Alex looks good! No more placenta abruption, no more placenta privia, and she is 11oz! She is in the 34% range on her weight, so we are going back in 8 weeks for another ultrasound to make sure her growth is on track. It was WONDERFUL having a check-up that was so positive. Thanks for everyone who has been praying with us for the health of our little girl!
