Beautiful Airawen Gets Baptized

October 12, 2008 Airawen Alexandra got baptized.
She as happy and calm through the whole ceremony and everyone said how beautiful she looked in her dress.
Matt Blazer's, (the man holding Arie Alex in this picture) daughter, Caroline, was baptized in the same dress.  It has hand made by Caroline's grandmother and on loan to us.  Since Airawen is seven months old, she as too big for all the family baptism gowns that have been passed down in Tim's family.
Our friend Amy Darr took pictures for us during the ceremony.  Thanks Amy!
Arie Alex and Grandma Heath.
This might be our first family picture since Easter.
It was an amazingly warm day so we spent much of the day in the back yard.  I love our back yard!

Graceanne eats her taco soup and Rachel Blazer reads to Caroline.
Joe and Tyler Bertam
Arie Alex loved Great Granny's bracelet.
It was a great day! At the end of it, we sat down and played with the turtle that projects stars on the walls and ceiling, a gift from Grandma Heath.

Thank you to all our friends and family who helped us celebrate the baptism of our daughter.  You mean so much to us and we are blessed to have you in our life.

Creator

I catch myself being that girl. The one partakes in the pregnancy talk around the table/room/lobby with other pregnant girls. I used to think that it was b/c there wasn't anything else exciting in life to talk about, once you've had kids. Once you've had kids, they become your whole world, and that was lame. Well, bring on the lame. It is really more exciting than I could have ever thought -- planning a
family. I'm not the biggest fan of being pregnant, it wierds me out
and as you might have read on the blog there was a few scary moments,
but really it just makes me look at everything in the world with this
whole new lens, and showing me how to trust God in a whole new way... As
Creator. I always thanked him as Creator, or was in awe of him as
Creator, or believed he was The Creator... But trusting that he can
really create a baby inside my body, as an active part of my minute to minute day... It's intense, and indescribable and insane! It makes me cry b/c I cannot express that level of trust in any other way.

I look forward to hearing your story as you go through this strange
and miraculous experience.

Chicago

Tim and I spent a weekend in Chicago a couple weeks ago. It was his brother's 30th birthday. Christine, Brian's wife, invited us all up to Chicago to surprise Brian the weekend of his Birthday. The boys played golf and the girls went shopping. Tyler and Graceanne showed us there Halloween costumes. Jake and Drew stayed back in Red Bud to play football on Saturday, and they were greatly missed! But we got to call them on the OnStar phone in the car. I loved it!

Christine and I got makeovers at a new store that was opening in Osego and then we all had an amazing dinner in the city. Christine me non-achoholic wine so that I could drink with everyone at dinner. She had chocolate bars with our names on cut out maple leaves at the table. She is so fun and thoughtful, and a great evening with the family.
